Adaklu Water Project board members corresponded with community leaders, the chief of the village, the Head Master of Adaklu Senior High School and the Manager of Adaklu Health Clinic, on issues affecting the community and what could be done to help alleviate some of the suffering of the people.
The overall consensus was the dire need of clean drinking water for the entire village especially for the clinic, and the Senior High school. The chief also stressed that without better income for the people, it would be impossible to maintain whatever facility is provided.
As Adaklu is agribusiness based, he reiterated the need for development and improvement of the farming sector. He therefore requested for tractors that will help increase productivity of the farmers. Increased productivity and success of farmers will translate to the ability to maintain, improve and fund their own public utilities.

Adaklu School and Health Clinic Projects As of October 6th 2013, Adaklu water Project has located 200 student chairs w/desks at an auction on line at ( http://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=160&acctid=1670 ). We hope to win this bid at a reasonable auction price of below $1000.00. At that point, we shall be including the school furniture to the shipment of tractors to be forwarded to Ghana.
Adaklu Senior High school requires to be equipped with five 2,222 gallon polyethylene water tanks and an underground water reservoir. On the other hand, Adaklu Health clinic has requested to be furnished with two 2,222 gallon polyethylene water tanks and an underground water reservoir.
Solution:
Adaklu Water Project has located 2,222 gallon polyethylene water tanks in Ghana at a less expensive cost than would have been purchased and shipped from the U.S. We intend to begin purchases as soon as we possibly can afford to.
