Choice Between Water or Education

The pervasive lack of accessible clean water continues to wreak havoc on Adaklu’s most vulnerable. Children spend more time fetching water from a polluted river than they do in classrooms. This perpetuates the cycle of poverty in the village as education is trumped by the need for clean water. The water source continually affects the health of families, therefore inundating the limited resources of the only clinic within a forty mile radius. With clean sustainable water system the population will be healthier, children will stay in school, and the limited resources of clinic will be better managed.
