Adaklu Water Project will replace the current non-functional cisterns by digging a well on the premises of the Adaklu maternity clinic. The intention is to primarily serve the sanitary health needs of expectant mothers and their newly born babies as well as patients of the village.
Exclusive to the clinic will be a 2500 gallon water tower furnished with an automatic solar powered water pump. An existing non-functional 10,000 gallon concrete water reservoir will be renovated and regularly replenished with well water. New gutters will be installed on roofs to efficiently, cleanly, and optionally harvest rain water into the concrete tank that will be used for water storage at all times.
We are looking forward to some day soon afford or build our own purification system that will clean the river water for general use in the village.
